You’ve no doubt seen these before at bathrooms or kitchens, and you can read more about these on a previous post here. GFCI stands for “Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter”. Will a GFCI protect an ungrounded circuit? In other words, any regular outlet that is fed from the load side of the GFCI is also protected from a ground fault because of the GFCI outlet. The load connection is available to feed additional standard (non-GFCI) outlets downstream from the GFCI location to provide protection from the GFCI. Can you put a GFCI on the load side of a GFCI?
